First protected in 1864, Yosemite became a World Heritage Site in 1984. And for a good reason.
Apart from the destruction what settlers and people caused to nature
in the area we can be thankful for certain individuals like Galen Clark
and John Muir, who made a major part of the national development in the
United States...
